The trail was in perfect shape for a winter walk. The 1/2 mile route was marked with white tree blazes and orange poles to guide us. We met behind the ARC building (Almanor Recreation Center) and toured the first loop which has been upgraded by our Trail Blazers volunteers.
The Mile High 100 Road Racetakes place in the Lake Almanor Area, a summer recreation mecca, every Father's Day weekend for over 35 years.
The Mile High 100 offers three rides to accommodate cyclists of all abilities; a century ride, metric century ride, and half-metric century ride - all of which include lakeside views of Lake Almanor.
